ICEO&SI 2019, the Ninth
International Conference on Earth Observations and Societal Impacts, will be
held following the series of acclaimed international conferences called by
TGEO, Taiwan Group on Earth Observations; to bring together the researchers,
practitioners, students as well as the public agencies from around the world to
share their geo-accomplishments and carry on the tradition of using daily
measurements, remote observations, and global monitoring; in order to cultivate
the fare judgments, enhance the vitality, and prolong the sustainability to our
living planet, the Earth.
The organizing committee are herein
cordially inviting you to attend the ICEO&SI 2019, which will be held in
Tainan City, Taiwan, on June 23~26, 2019.
Tainan City, the 4th largest city in Taiwan, was established
as the capital of Taiwan in 1661 and remained as the capital until 1887. Experiencing the Chinese Ming and Qing dynasties,
and gone through the colonial stages of the Dutch and the Japan eras, till the
independent, republic and democratic, Tainan has held a significant
socio-economical position in Taiwanese history; where is also the home of the
Black-faced Spoonbill (Platalea minor).
From the early days of sharing the
field and laboratory experiences and the performance of modern geoscience and
remote sensing, the ICEO&SI conference has grown into a common forum and
platform for international experts and scholars specializing in earth
observations and social sciences to discuss, communicate and internet on
subjects relating to climate changes, environmental disasters, ecological
impacts, global resources and public health; specifically, to bring up the
appropriate and corresponding strategies for human beings.
